Parallax is inspired by the “Parallax Coffee Table”, a unique table designed by Sandro Lopez. The table is made of two brackets that resemble wings, positioned one opposite the other with a glass surface above them. Moving from table to sandal, the tread surface changes position vs the glass of the table, dividing the front table wings into a hollow platform and body. The back wings are the heel. The glass fibers in which the shoe is made were chosen for their material properties- strength, low weight, and semi-transparent appearance.
